Stress

Stress affects the skin in more than one way.  Stress can cause a breakout, eczema flare up, rosacea and other skin conditions.

The mind and skin are connected on different levels like nerve endings are connected to the skin, which wraps around the organs, so as emotions are played out neurologically, Lack of sleep can cause dark circles. Second to sleep, get some exercise. Not only does physical activity help you “blow off steam,” it also boosts circulation, which helps your complexion. Exercise keeps you fit and wards off cellulite.

I recommend deep breathing, meditation to relax and slow down for a healthy mind body and spirit.

Latest Fad

BB Cream, Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm got its name from a trademark in Korea on the word "blemish" It is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East. Larger beauty brands are increasingly introducing BB creams to Western markets.

BB cream is an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sun block. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage.

Body care 2

Legs: Legs, for us women need shaving and moisturizing. Laser Hair removal is another option. Legs may be uncovered all year long, between skirts and shorts. Shaving your legs can cause rashes, and extra dryness. Shaving in a warm bath, it helps soften legs and makes shaving less of a pain. Keep your legs moisturize. To keep your legs from looking dry and dull, get a pair of exfoliating gloves or a loofah. I love them; you can add your favorite body wash and rub away your dead, dry skin cells making your legs look shiny and beautiful.

Feet: In between professional pedicures one must care for feet by soaking them in a warm foot bath once a week. Get a pumice stone to scrub away callous buildups on heals or pads of feet. Moisturize it daily.

Body: Once a week Beauty ritual. Start with dry brushing the body for five minutes; this is a process that has been around for centuries. Skin brushing opens pores, stimulates sweat glands, and increases blood circulation whilst encouraging the body to release waste material from the cells near the surface of the body. It will get rid of dead skin, dirt, and some acid. It will make your skin glow. Followed by Soaking and relaxing in a warm bath and bring to balance your body, mind and soul. You can also exfoliate with a Alpha hydroxy acid and then bath or shower or you can use a lotion to hydrate and soften with a Alpha hydroxy acid afterwards.

Back: The back is a hard to reach area. I would most definitely recommend a Back Treatment very much like a facial.

Sun block is a must all year round Remember “Don’t correct if you don’t protect.”

Skin is an organ which happens to cover and protect your entire body. In order to have truly healthy skin it is important to care for the skin on your entire body for your skin, no matter which part of the body it happens to be it requires the same basic care. If you want beautiful, healthy skin, you must cleanse it, exfoliate it, moisturize it, and protect it.

Body Care 1

When it comes to skin care, don't forget the skin on your body. Many people take excellent care of their face, but forget all about the skin on their body.

We all know we need to exfoliate the dead skin cells off of our body, but not all areas of your body should be treated the same. Your face can not be exfoliated with the same product as your feet, and vice-versa.

Scalp: weather conditions, stress and fatigue, styling product build up, and hormone fluctuation. Since the causes can be sourced from internal and external factors, the treatment of dandruff also varies. Epsom salts is an inexpensive way to treat the flaky skin on your scalp or treatments products containing Salicylic Acid or Sulfur are another great source for removing dead skin.

Lips: If you're constantly finding your lipstick coming off, or you just can't seem to keep your lips from peeling, one way to get those kissable lips back in order is exfoliate. Two products in mind are Murad Pomegranate Lip Protector Spf15 This treatment revitalizes dry lips by conditioning with Shea butter and retexturizing with salicylic acid to restore suppleness while broad-spectrum sunscreens and powerful antioxidants shield against free-radical damage and Murad Soothing Skin & Lip Therapy   immediately relieves dry chapped lips or minor skin irritations by sealing in long lasting moisture and gently smoothing and exfoliating.

Hands: If there is one tip you take away from this it would be that your hands and your chest won't keep your age a secret if you don't start treating them like your face. You can use all the anti-aging products you want on your face, but if you don't include your hands and chest you will give away your age. Exfoliate and then moisturize, products will moisturize longer and penetrate.  Clear Choice Lumi Antioxidant Hand Therapy SPF 18 An amazing hand cream packed with antioxidants, sunscreen, skin lightening agents and moisturizers.

Personally what I do is, when I do my skin care regime daily is treat the back of my hands with the left over product.

Eye Brows

“Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder”

Brow shapes may change, but the basic will remain the same.  Eyebrows play a major part on our face. It shapes our eyes as our hair shapes our face. Personally I love to see a Symmetrical eye brow, or close to it.  Well groomed eye brows make all the difference; it’s a lift without the surgery.  It enhances lifts and balances facial features. Where your brows should start, arch and end is very important. It is also important that when you experience a few grays hairs you should not pluck them out; instead you can have them dyed or use a colored brow groomer.

For those of you who have over plucked the eyebrows, there is hope. Lash and brow conditioners now can enhance the growth of your brows and lashes.

My personal preference is waxing as I can sculpt better with it, however if you use prescription strength medicines for acne or retinols tweezing or threading is an option. As waxing can be a bit harsh and remove skin.
